Caustic Soda

Caustic is one of the chemical components commonly used in our daily lives and homes. Soaps and detergents, frequently used in our homes, as well as the main ingredient in drain cleaners, are made with caustic.

Caustic, with the chemical name ‘Sodium Hydroxide’ and the formula NaOH, is an acid-based compound. It dissolves in water within an average of 5 minutes. When mixed with water, it raises the temperature to 50 degrees Celsius, keeping it hot for 15-20 minutes. It burns and corrodes the substance it reacts with.
