Butyl Glycol Acetate (also known as 2-butoxyethyl acetate, ethylene glycol butyl ether acetate, and 2-butoxyethanol acetate) is a clear, colorless to pale yellow liquid with the chemical formula C8H16O3. It has a light and pleasant ester odor, and is sparingly soluble in water but can mix with many common organic solvents such as alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, ethers, glycols, and glycol ethers.

- Butyl glycol acetate is used as a solvent for multicolored lacquers, varnishes, enamels, and epoxy resin. Its high boiling point makes it useful as a solvent. It is also employed in the production of polyvinyl acetate latex. Additionally, it is a component found in ink removers and stain removers.
